Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. in Tigard, OR is seeking a Controls Engineer advancing toward Project Management.

You will design, implement, and troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs, instrumentation, and HMI interfaces, while guiding project teams. The role involves leading projects from $50K to $250K, coordinating schedules, budgets, and procurement, and supporting startup activities across diverse industries including semiconductor and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years in control systems, ladder logic, SCADA and applications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement control systems to meet machine and system requirements.
• Develop control logic software and user interfaces.
• Support start-up and debugging of integrated systems; develop system documentation.
• Lead automation & control system integration projects for clients in various industries.
• Act as project lead on some projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Possess knowledge of ISA standards and semiconductor protocols when applicable.
