Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. in Tigard, OR is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley experience to lead PLC, HMI, and SCADA integration projects. You will develop control logic, UI applications, and system documentation for multi-industry clients.

Responsibilities include startup support, debugging, and guiding junior engineers while traveling up to 25% to job sites and working in varied environments, including cleanrooms per semiconductor protocols.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BS in Controls Engineering preferred; AA with equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 5–10 years in control systems, ladder logic, SCADA and related applications.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs is required or beneficial.
• Experience with Ignition or GE Cimplicity SCADA; scripting is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and to work in cleanroom/industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Develops control logic software and user interface applications.
• Assists with startup, debugging, and documentation of integrated systems.
• Leads automation projects for clients across semiconductor, pulp, paper, and food industries.
• Collaborates with team with minimal supervision and mentors juniors.
• Interprets ISA standards and ensures proper electrical/piping diagrams are followed.
• Supports project closeout, site commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
• Performs general administration tasks and maintains project records.
