Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for diverse manufacturing and data center projects. You will work on PLC programming, instrumentation, panel layouts, and start-up activities at customer sites.

The role includes leading design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, managing smaller projects from $50K to $250K, and delivering complete documentation and training.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of control systems, hardware and software.
• Experience with instrumentation and SCADA systems.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements control system software and hardware.
• Develops schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD.
• Lead design reviews with customer for review and approval of design documents.
• Work at customer site to perform the system checkout and start-up of the integrated control system.
