Job summary
Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer to develop PLC and HMI solutions for municipal water and wastewater systems across the Midwest. You will take projects from concept through commissioning, working closely with operators and field technicians.
You’ll design, code, and test PLC/HMI logic, configure SCADA, and deploy reliable control networks on site. Travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected to ensure successful startup and ongoing support.
Qualifications
- Experience designing and delivering PLC/HMI-driven controls for municipal water/wastewater.
- Ability to commission and troubleshoot SCADA systems in field and plant environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop PLC code for municipal water and wastewater SCADA systems.
- Design and configure HMI applications for operators and plant staff.
- Commission control systems and instrumentation in field deployments.
- Set up and commission communications networks (fiber, radio, broadband).
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams through design, construction, and startup phases.
