Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Control Technician 4 to fabricate control panels, install and commission field instrumentation, and troubleshoot panels and related equipment.

You will document and update drawings, and maintain shop tools and meters provided by the company. Ideal candidates bring extensive shop experience, the ability to read schematics and BOMs, and a strong background in industrial automation and control panels.

Qualifications

• Seven years of shop experience in a related role.
• Ability to read control circuits, schematics, and diagrams.
• Capability to size breakers and fuses per NEC/UL standards.
• Experience fabricating and wiring control panels.
• Read BOMs and NEC/UL508A standards.

Responsibilities

• Following verbal instructions and reading work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials and sequence of assembly.
• Performing sheet metal work, punching holes, wiring, painting, and welding.
• Providing on-the-job training to new employees.
• Following company procedures for ordering, storing, receiving, and returning materials and tools.
• Ensuring work is completed as per schedule and quality goals are achieved.
