Job summary

Southway is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead projects in North Carolina, including the Raleigh/Triangle and Lexington regions. You will own planning, scheduling, and closeout while building strong relationships with owners, trade partners, and field teams.

As a Superintendent you will lead on-site construction activities, develop CPM schedules, coordinate with subs, ensure safety and quality, and coach Assistant Superintendents to grow a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction superintendent experience.
• Experience leading projects of $20M+.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and quality control.
• Procore, MS Project, and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction activities from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and communicate CPM schedules and three-week look-aheads.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and trade partners to keep work moving.
• Own jobsite safety and quality control processes.
• Build relationships with owners, design teams, inspectors, and partners.
• Identify challenges early and propose solutions to protect schedule and budget.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, inspections, and project documentation with PM.
• Coach and develop Assistant Superintendents and field team members.
