Job summary

Engtal is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a senior on-site role in Indianapolis. The candidate will lead day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain project schedules, safety, and quality from mobilization to completion.

Ideal applicants bring 5+ years of superintendent experience on healthcare, education, institutional, or commercial projects, with strong leadership and Procore proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
• Strong background in commercial construction.
• Experience with healthcare, education, institutional, or commercial projects.
• Proven ability to independently lead jobsites.
• Strong scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and sequencing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• OSHA 30 and/or safety certifications preferred.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, schedules, and coordination.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite.
• Coordinate inspections, materials, deliveries, and manpower.
• Work with the PM to maintain project schedule and budget.
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and documents.
• Lead weekly subcontractor and progress meetings.
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and project leadership.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or cost.
