Job summary

The Senior Construction Representative provides construction quality assurance, inspection, and contract compliance services for a federally funded project in Hendersonville, TN. This on-site role requires detailed field inspections, review of QC documentation, and coordination with contractor teams to ensure safety and conformance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 15 years of quality control/QA experience on construction projects.
• USACE or other federal project experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA Construction Industry Regulations (29 CFR 1926).
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect on-going construction through on-site visits and review of contractor reports and test results.
• Independently inspect complex civil construction activities requiring specialized knowledge.
• Ensure contractor work complies with schedules, plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Review daily QC reports and document deficiencies; suggest acceptable alternative methods.
• Provide daily QA follow-up inspections and surveillance of the contractor's QC program.
• Attend quality assurance meetings and prepare input for RMS daily reports.
• Verify site location, layout, and elevations before start of work.
• Maintain deficiency tracking and RFIs; ensure audit trails.
• Occasionally attend offsite shop inspections and multi-day site visits.
