Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Construction Project Supervisor II to oversee and coordinate the execution of multiple construction contracts within a section. You will direct inspection teams and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and city procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, five years’ experience in construction inspection or supervision (including two years of supervisory responsibilities) and a valid Maryland driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of experience in construction inspection, construction supervision or construction engineering.
• Two years of supervisory responsibilities in hiring, firing or evaluating staff.
• Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver’s license required; Baltimore City driver’s permit eligibility.
• Candidate must upload a copy of a valid driver's license with the application.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the implementation of all construction contracts assigned to a section.
• Direct inspection work units and ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Interpret and enforce City contract procedures; communicate with contractors, engineers and utility reps.
• Provide supervisory leadership and performance evaluations for staff.
• Utilize computers and software to analyze workflow and prepare technical correspondence.
