Job summary

The City of Baltimore, Department of Planning, seeks a Construction Project Supervisor II to oversee and coordinate the implementation of construction contracts within a section. You will direct inspection work units and report to a technical supervisor while working a conventional 40-hour week.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree and at least five years in construction inspection or supervision, including two years of supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• Education: Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• AND Experience: Have five years of experience in construction inspection, construction supervision or construction engineering including two years of supervisory responsibilities such as disciplining, evaluating the performance of and recommending the hiring, firing and promoting of others.
• OR Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Non-supervisory experience or education may not be substituted for the required supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the implementation of all construction contracts assigned to a section.
• Direct inspection work units.
• Ensure compliance with city contract procedures and safety requirements.
