Job summary

Harford County Government is seeking a field and office supervisor responsible for overseeing Construction Inspectors I–III and supervising inspection of all project phases to ensure compliance with County, State, and Federal specifications.

The role requires six years of heavy construction experience and six years of supervisory experience, with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related field. A valid Class C license is required.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years' progressively responsible experience in heavy construction projects.
• Six (6) years' of experience supervising or managing teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Construction Inspectors I, II and III and oversee inspection of all project phases for code compliance.
• Coordinate with State and Federal agencies on compliance and enforcement.
• Issue Stop Work orders for non-compliance with authority of the Director of Public Works.
• Maintain inspection records and testify in court as required.
