Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Project Manager I for the Houston, TX division. The candidate will assist in planning, budgeting, and coordinating all phases of commercial construction projects as part of a 100% employee-owned company.

Responsibilities include preconstruction input, subcontractor bid review, and monthly cost reporting, with emphasis on safety and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in construction project management.
• Experience with plan development, budgeting, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM II in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all project phases.
• Support preconstruction with budget estimates and value engineering.
• Oversee startup activities with the superintendent and manage site logistics.
• Review subcontractor bids and ensure bonds/insurance are in place.
• Ensure contract terms and specs are met; inspect progress and quality.
• Prepare monthly pay requests and monitor cost reporting.
• Develop master construction schedule with Scheduling dept.
