Job summary

S&M E in New Albany, Indiana is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Supervisor to lead lab personnel, manage daily activities and ensure quality and safety.

You will supervise staff, manage CMT and Special Inspection projects, coordinate scheduling with Field Supervisors and Project Managers, and train employees to maintain certifications. This full-time role includes a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in geotechnical or construction materials testing with supervisory experience.
• Active industry certifications a plus (ACI, ICC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee lab staff, testing, calibration, and daily operations.
• Manage CMT and Special Inspection projects, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate staff schedules with Field Supervisors and Project Managers on progress.
• Train staff and maintain required certifications.
