Job summary

MWH is seeking a Construction Manager in Seattle, WA to lead mechanical construction activities on water and wastewater projects. You will supervise project staff, coordinate with owners, engineers, and regulators, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence from procurement through start-up and close-out.

The ideal candidate has a civil/mechanical/electrical engineering degree, 12+ years of municipal water/wastewater project experience, and CCM or PMP certification (or committed within 12

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices, labor agreements, and negotiations.
• CCM or PMP certification required or willingness to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage process mechanical operations in water and wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
• Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies for project execution and business development.
• Make decisions to improve client relationships and profitability of managed projects.
• Develop new business opportunities relative to a client or geographical area.
• Provide oversight to construction management, contract planning/execution, scheduling review, and QA oversight.
