Job summary

MWH is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead critical water, wastewater, advanced treatment plant and heavy civil construction projects in the Seattle, WA area for municipal and industrial clients. Projects may utilize CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, or Design-Bid-Build, ranging from $100M to $800M.

You will guide field staff, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with clients and design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of construction, design, finance and management experience on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• 3-5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Good understanding of corporate practices and project activities.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions and project managers; coordinate with US Operations.
• Set project objectives, policies and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Liaise with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate preconstruction and construction activities.
• Oversee on-site construction to ensure schedule and budget are met; implement corrective measures as needed.
• Represent the company in project meetings and negotiations; manage financial aspects to protect interests.
• Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, revenue and scheduling, and provide leadership to project engineers and superintendents.
