Job summary

BNSF Railway in Fort Worth, TX seeks a full-time Project Engineer to lead construction projects, collaborate with contractors, and drive planning, permits, and estimates. The role requires on-site work with significant travel (60-90%).

Qualifications

• Must have experience with construction projects involving track, facilities, and new construction.
• Planning and engineering design capability essential.
• Thorough understanding of track and civil engineering including geotechnical aspects.
• Excellent communication to interface with BNSF and public agencies.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of construction projects including planning, permitting, project administration, construction management, inspection and performance.
• Implement and manage construction safety processes.
• Evaluate and control change orders.
• Support cash flow forecast process and detailed estimates for CAPEX.
• Duties vary and may include plans development for main line and track projects.
• Coordinate design and construction activities across signals, track, telecommunications and structures.
