North American Rail Solutions is seeking a Foreman I to lead daily track maintenance and construction efforts. You will oversee field crews, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate with project managers to deliver work on schedule in outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, rail system knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining safety and efficiency on active work sites across Texas and beyond.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in railroad/track maintenance.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and grade plans.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and track maintenance standards.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Experience safely operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily crew activities and conduct safety briefings.
• Delegate tasks based on crew capabilities and assist with labor.
• Perform inspections and quality checks on completed work.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment and tools safely.
• Perform basic repairs (e.g., gaging, rail swaps, switch components, tamping).
• Monitor job site safety and enforce PPE compliance.
