Job summary

RailWorks Corporation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Superintendent to oversee all phases of railway track construction and maintenance projects, coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, and supervising sub-contractors. You will ensure compliance with designs, budget, and schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards, and you'll report to the Project Director.

The role requires extensive field leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and availability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years recent construction experience, railway experience preferred but not required.
• High School diploma with post-secondary training in a related field.
• Knowledge of project controls, material management, contract management, subcontract management.
• Track record of completing projects on schedule and within budget.
• Current First Aid, WHMIS; valid clean driver’s license.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed; physical ability for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages all phases of railway track construction and maintenance projects.
• Coordinates workers, materials and equipment; supervises sub-contractors to meet specs.
• Ensures work follows drawings, design intent, budget and schedule; maintains safety.
• Monitors quality standards; reports production quantities and productivity weekly.
• Manages budgets, tracks expenses and coordinates deliveries; enforces company policies.
• Establishes relationships with stakeholders; liaises among owners, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Reviews timesheets, assists with invoicing and handles extra work orders as needed.
• Participates in safety programs and ensures field personnel comply with policies.
• On-site and in-office presence; willingness to travel to job sites.
