Job summary

Semper Tek Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator Level II/III to join our Lexington preconstruction team. You will develop accurate direct-cost estimates for single and multi-discipline projects from bid to post-construction review.

The role requires extensive estimating experience, strong knowledge of building systems, and the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and evaluate subcontractor proposals. This is an in-office role in Lexington, KY with no remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent construction operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
• Ability to interpret estimating documents with accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor and vendor bid evaluation.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and bid phases for complex federal, state, and commercial projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and documents to understand project scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and bid pricing.
• Coordinate subcontractor/vender pricing and bid lists.
• Prepare subcontractor bid proposals and bid recording sheets.
• Support transition of estimating data to project operations.
• Participate in post-construction reviews to compare estimates with actuals.
