Gray Construction in Lexington, KY is seeking a Pre-Construction Services Manager to lead estimating and bid activities for multiple trades, evaluate proposals, and develop cost-effective project plans.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review data and drawings to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists of cost estimates.
• Evaluate multiple proposals for multiple trades to formulate bid analysis for subcontractors.
• Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for planning, organizing, and scheduling work, bids, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Conducts special studies to develop standard hour and related cost data or cost reductions.
• Develop and deliver presentations internally and externally with customers.
• Understand all divisions of work and extract required information from customers to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP).
• Provide conceptual estimates and project scope from limited customer information within 24 hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
