Job summary

Semper Tek Inc. seeks an experienced Estimator Level II/III to join our preconstruction team in Lexington, KY.

This in-office role focuses on developing accurate direct-cost estimates for single and multi-discipline construction projects from bid through award and post-construction review. The ideal candidate has extensive estimating experience, strong knowledge of building systems, and the ability to perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor proposals, and develop competitive estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
• Ability to interpret estimating documents and provide qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and developing cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor and vendor bid evaluation.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and price projects and bid during the design phase through award.
• Review drawings, specs, and documents to determine complete scope of work.
• Perform takeoffs, cost analyses, and studies for trades and building systems.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing and coordinate bid lists.
• Prepare and submit RFIs to owner representatives when clarification is needed.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
