Job summary

City of College Station is seeking a Crew Leader to guide a concrete construction crew in asphalt/concrete repair and drainage maintenance. You will lead daily field operations, supervise on-site activities, and ensure safety compliance while operating heavy equipment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience, and a Texas CDL or ability to obtain it within 90 days. Expect on-call duties and active involvement in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of related technical training.
• 3 years of experience in concrete construction or street maintenance/public works.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficient knowledge of concrete methods, materials, and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and trenching/shoring safety protocols.
• Familiarity with MUTCD standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead concrete crews on job sites and supervise daily activities for street repair and maintenance projects.
• Operate and oversee heavy equipment used in streets, drainage, and concrete projects; provide on-site safety training and PPE enforcement.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with inventory management of tools and materials.
• Handle customer service duties, phone inquiries, and field investigations to resolve requests or complaints.
• Respond to operational issues or challenges during maintenance activities.
• Update and close digital work orders with accurate labor, materials, equipment usage, and project status.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
