Job summary

The City of Baytown is seeking a Concrete Specialist to lead a crew through concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing on city projects. You will prepare surfaces, install forms, level grades, and ensure high-quality work while upholding safety standards.

This role requires a valid TX Class B CDL, at least one year of related experience, and the ability to read blueprints. You will supervise crews, coordinate with other staff, and contribute to durable streets and sidewalks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid TX driver’s license with clean record.
• Class B CDL (Texas) required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews performing concrete work on streets, sidewalks, driveways and drainage projects.
• Prepare base, set forms, place and finish concrete, and verify grades and elevations.
• Read blueprints and supervise equipment operation and material handling.
• Provide oral and written instructions and coordinate with public and crew members.
