City of College Station seeks an Equipment Operator I/II to join the concrete construction crew. The role involves operating a range of concrete-related equipment for streets and drainage, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality placement and finishing, and supporting site operations.

Operators must have a high school diploma or GED, Texas CDL (Class B or higher with 90 days), and experience with heavy equipment. The position may require emergency response and on-call duties.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Class B CDL driver’s license or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience operating heavy or specialized concrete related equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete mixing, placement, curing and finishing methods.
• Knowledge of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD).
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Willingness and availability for emergency response and on-call duties.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of light to heavy construction equipment for streets and drainage projects; assist with concrete site operations.
• Set up, calibrate, inspect and maintain equipment daily; coordinate maintenance with appropriate departments.
• Monitor inventory of supplies, materials and equipment to efficiently complete tasks.
• Engage in emergencies by setting up barricades, removing debris, and guiding traffic as needed.
• Lead or train coworkers when required; perform other related duties as assigned.
