Job summary

City of College Station is seeking a Crew Leader to supervise a concrete construction crew focused on asphalt/concrete repair, right-of-way landscaping, and drainage maintenance. You will ensure safe operation of heavy equipment and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, training crew on safety, and managing work orders while delivering timely, quality repairs for city streets and properties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus two years of technical training in a related field.
• Three years of experience in concrete construction, street maintenance, or public works repair.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of concrete methods, materials, and heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety procedures and MUTCD.
• Proficiency with basic computer/tablet software and digital work orders.
• Willingness for emergency response and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead concrete crew members on job sites, supervising daily activities of street repair and maintenance projects.
• Operate and oversee heavy machinery used in streets, drainage, and concrete projects; enforce PPE use.
• Perform equipment inspections and assist with inventory management of tools and materials.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and fielding citizen service requests.
• Respond to operational issues during daily maintenance tasks.
• Update and close digital work orders with accurate labor, materials and status data.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
