Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas seeks an experienced Lead Construction Supervisor to effectively lead and manage crew daily activities, aligning with project timelines, plans, and codes. You will train staff on safety and operations and coordinate with other crafts as needed.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating equipment and materials, ensuring safe operation, maintaining reports, and guiding weekly schedules.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Demonstrate knowledge to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
• Plan tasks to safely and efficiently carry out work, train safety practices, policies and procedures.
• Understand scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with crew and management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials for safe, efficient construction.
• Ensure equipment is operated and maintained correctly.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
• May assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequencing of activities for assigned crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work within estimated costs while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Uphold safety and conduct operations according to company and government rules.
• Develop crew attitude by toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules.
• Monitor compliance with all company policies.
