Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a Community Corrections Officer 3 for the Moses Lake Field Office. This internal, full-time, permanent role supervises offenders under supervision and leads other CCOs, with shift 0800-1700 Mon-Fri.

The position requires strong judgment, compliance with policy, and the ability to train staff while coordinating with internal and external partners to promote public safety in Washington.

Qualifications

• Must be armed with department firearm qualifications and ongoing training.
• Must hold an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in WA.
• Ability to work with individuals who have criminal backgrounds while remaining objective.

Responsibilities

• Supervise individuals ordered to supervision in the community within timeframes.
• Engage supervised individuals to work toward positive change.
• Enforce supervision conditions and laws.
• Lead other Community Corrections Officers and act as Unit Duty Officer.
