Job summary

The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Community Corrections Officer 3 (CCO3) for the Tukwila Field Office in Seattle, WA. This internal, full-time role supervises individuals under community supervision and leads a team of officers to ensure compliance and public safety.

Qualifications

• Two years as a Community Corrections Officer within the Washington State Department of Corrections is required or preferred.
• Armed staff must have the ability to carry and properly utilize a department-issued firearm.
• Must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Washington.

Responsibilities

• Supervise individuals who have committed a crime and have been ordered to supervision in the community.
• Engage with supervised individuals to work towards positive change.
• Enforce supervision conditions and the law.
• Lead other Community Corrections Officers.
• Act as the Unit Duty Officer.

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent
