Job summary

Nexamp is hiring a Lead Commissioning Engineer to ensure PV and BESS projects energize safely and on schedule, with strong SCADA and data acquisition focus. You’ll own technical reviews and support commissioning across utility-scale and distributed projects.

The role involves leading the commissioning team, coordinating with deployment and external contractors, mentoring juniors, and improving SCADA/telemetry standards. Hybrid work options available from major hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education/certification background.
• At least 7 years of experience designing and commissioning electrical power systems, or network design.
• At least 4 years in renewables (Solar/Wind/Storage).
• Experience in controls engineering for utility-scale renewable/hybrid energy.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead the commissioning of PV, BESS from pre-energization through turnover.
• Act as primary troubleshooting resource for Commissioning Engineering and Field teams.
• Manage project commissioning schedules with Deployment, SCADA, Engineering and external contractors.
• Provide remote and field support for DAS, inverter, BESS and SCADA commissioning and witness tests.
• Review and validate site performance and conduct performance testing.
• Lead DAS/SCADA system design for PV, BESS, and hybrid projects and coordinate procurement/installation.
