Job summary

Nexamp is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join its Clean Energy Deployment team. You will lead commissioning of PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems, ensuring safe energization, testing, and operational turnover on schedule. You will troubleshoot SCADA/controls and manage cross-functional project milestones.

The role supports hybrid work from Boston or Chicago, with remote options nationwide. You report to the Director, Commissioning Engineering and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education.
• 7+ years designing and commissioning electrical power systems or network design.
• 4+ years in renewables (Solar, Wind, Storage).
• Experience in controls engineering for utility-scale renewable/hybrid energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead PV, BESS commissioning from pre-energization to turnover.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for SCADA/controls.
• Manage commissioning schedules with internal/external teams.
• Provide remote and field support for DAS, inverter, BESS, SCADA commissioning.
• Review live asset performance and conduct/coordinate tests.
• Lead DAS/SCADA system design for PV, BESS, and PV+BESS projects.
• Develop SCADA engineering standards for utility-scale applications.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.
