Job summary

POWERX seeks a Commissioning Engineer II to lead commissioning activities for electrical and mechanical systems in data center projects. You will manage projects from planning through completion, perform advanced testing, and ensure safety and quality across site operations.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience, an engineering background, and ability to travel nationwide. Proficiency with testing tools and reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on commissioning experience in data centers; lead commissioning engineer experience desirable.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; NEC/ASHRAE/OSHA knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of electrical/mechanical equipment and systems including power distribution, control, and backup power.
• Manage commissioning projects from planning to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site observations and prepare field reports on project status and compliance.
• Review, evaluate, and approve electrical/mechanical test results; perform complex functional testing.
