Job summary

POWERX is seeking a Commissioning Engineer I to support engineering teams in commissioning activities for data centers and substations, including site inspections, equipment testing, and documentation. This role will assist with installation and commissioning of protection and control systems, generators, UPS, and related equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
• 2 years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in commissioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct site observations and prepare field reports.
• Review drawings for design compliance.
• Create and perform test procedures for equipment.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate commissioning records.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers.
