Job summary

POWERX is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead and execute commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems for data-center projects across the United States. You will manage projects from planning to completion, perform complex testing, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience, a bachelor's degree in engineering, and proficiency with CxAlloy, Compass or Procore. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers, including at least 1 year as lead engineer.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices.
• Ability to travel domestically across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of electrical/mechanical equipment and systems.
• Manage projects from planning to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site observations and prepare field reports.
• Review drawings and submittals for compliance.
• Document testing results and maintain equipment logs.
