Job summary

POWERX is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead electrical and mechanical commissioning across critical power projects. You will manage projects from planning to completion, perform advanced testing, and ensure safety and quality in alignment with client specs.

You will collaborate with engineers, site teams, and vendors, review technical drawings, and document field results while maintaining schedules and budgets. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience on data centers or similar facilities.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of NEC/ASHRAE standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to read complex drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of electrical/mechanical equipment and systems.
• Manage projects from planning through completion with timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site observations and prepare field reports on compliance.
• Perform complex functional and performance testing to verify operation.
• Review drawings and submittals and provide technical feedback.
• Maintain safety, quality, and client communication throughout projects.
