Job summary

East Texas Cooling Systems in Texas is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems across supermarkets, service stations, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, performing routine maintenance, inspecting compressors and evaporators, reclaiming refrigerant per EPA regulations, keeping service logs, and delivering excellent on-site customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a commercial refrigeration technician.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type II or Universal preferred).
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and parallel rack systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves.
• Recover and reclaim refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and service logs.
• Provide excellent customer service while on-site at clients' facilities.
