Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to high-quality service.

Requirements include EPA 608 certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

Qualifications

Experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems preferred.
EPA 608 certification required.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift equipment and work in confined spaces.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Work on walk-in coolers and freezers, display cases, ice machines, and other equipment.
Check refrigerant levels, locate leaks, and perform recovery, evacuation, and charging.
Read wiring diagrams and manuals for proper operation and repair.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and inventory in good condition.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
Keep work area clean and organized.
