Job summary

East Texas Cooling Systems is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Temple, Texas. You will install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems across supermarkets, gas stations, and industrial facilities, ensuring reliability and energy efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years of experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a commercial refrigeration technician.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type II or Universal preferred).
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and parallel rack systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves.
• Recover and reclaim refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and service logs.
• Provide excellent customer service while on-site at clients' facilities.
