Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC in North Carolina is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead installation projects from start to finish. You’ll mentor Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers, set on-site standards for safety and quality, and ensure projects start strong and finish on time.

You’ll install rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and air distribution while reading blueprints, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining exceptional customer service on every job.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Read blueprints, job specifications, and installation plans to stay on schedule.
• Coaching and developing Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verifying proper airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and overall system performance.
• Performing equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and final quality inspections.
• Communicating with customers, project managers, and team members throughout the installation process.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Completing installation documentation accurately and on time.
