Job summary
Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, seeks a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to spearhead large installation projects from kickoff through startup. You will lead a crew, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality on rooftops, with mentoring for Install Helpers and Apprentices.
Qualified candidates have 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, an EPA certification, a valid license, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years in commercial or residential HVAC installation.
- Leadership experience on installation projects preferred.
- EPA Certification required.
- Valid driver's license with clean record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to startup.
- Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, and ductwork.
- Read blueprints and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
- Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
- Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
- Perform startups, testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
- Communicate with customers, project managers, and team members throughout the project.
