Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, is seeking a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead complex installation projects from kickoff to startup. You will mentor installers, set safety and quality standards, and deliver reliable systems on time.

This role requires 4+ years of HVAC installation experience, EPA Certification, and a valid driver’s license. You will work on rooftops and in mechanical rooms, coordinating with customers and PMs to ensure successful projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install/replacement of rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork.
• Read blueprints, specs, and installation plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach and develop Install Helpers and Apprentice Installers.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and system performance.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Communicate with customers, PMs, and team members throughout installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
