Job summary

Pleasant Valley Corporation, a Medina-based commercial real estate firm, seeks an experienced Estimator to lead cost budgeting for projects from $250K to $15M. The role covers plan review, quantity takeoffs, bid prep, and handoff to Project Management.

You will collaborate with the Pre-Construction team, mentor junior estimators, and ensure competitive, accurate estimates. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial estimating and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Five years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Knowledge of plans, specifications, RFPs, quantity takeoffs, scopes of work.
• Experience soliciting, reviewing, and leveling bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate estimates by reviewing plans, specs, RFPs, and bid documents.
• Manage bid process: build bid packages, solicit pricing, clarify scope.
• Evaluate site and risks; prepare conceptual, budget, and detailed estimates.
• Prepare and submit proposals with Basis of Estimate, pricing, and clarifications.
• Support project delivery and mentor junior estimating staff.
