Job summary

Pleasant Valley Corporation in Medina, Ohio, seeks an experienced Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $50K to $5M, including ground-up and tenant improvements, to support bidding and project execution.

Based at our Medina office, the role partners with junior staff and project teams to prepare bids, coordinate subcontractors, and continually improve pre-construction standards while pursuing relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to read plans and specs accurately.
• Strong knowledge of General Conditions and General Requirements.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost and labor estimates for projects from 50K to 5M.
• Review bid documents and identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes.
• Develop Scopes of Work and Basis of Estimate supplements.
• Collaborate with project teams to support bid and buy-out processes.
