Job summary

Pleasant Valley Corporation in Medina, Ohio seeks an experienced Estimator to develop cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $50K to $5M, supporting bidding and project hand-off.

The role collaborates with junior estimators and the Project Management team, requiring 5-7 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and proficiency with take-off software. Ground-up and TI experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of related experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in electronic plan reading and take-off software.

Responsibilities

• Bid Preparation and Analysis: review documents to prepare accurate cost and labor estimates.
• Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination: solicit quotes and qualify proposals.
• Scope Development and Documentation: create detailed scopes of work and estimate basis.
• Collaboration and Oversight: work with junior estimators and project team.
• Process Improvement and Education: maintain standards and pursue certification.
