Job summary

Texas Bank and Trust is seeking a Credit Analyst/Underwriter to lead analysis on commercial loan requests, including complex cases, and to provide trusted advisory service to internal and external customers.

The role includes presenting findings to Loan Committee, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with credit management to structure appropriate loan solutions. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance, accounting, or economics.
• 3–5 years Credit Analyst or related experience.
• Strong analytical and accounting background.
• Ability to prioritize, detail oriented, with good urgency.
• Strong computer skills: word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary underwriter for large or complex commercial loan requests.
• Conduct annual analyses and prepare memorandums for large relationships.
• Assist with spreads, risk ratings, and smaller loan requests as needed.
• Discuss alternative structures and turnaround requirements with loan officers and credit management.
• Attend Loan Committee meetings and present data as needed.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide leadership to the team.
• Update knowledge and participate in department projects and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
