Job summary

McDonald York Building Company in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from start to finish. The role oversees budget, schedule, quality, and client relationships while guiding a team that includes Superintendents and Project Engineers.

You will drive project performance, coordinate with field staff, manage cost reporting, and ensure alignment with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, and scheduling.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall performance.
• Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure successful field execution.
• Oversee owner billings, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Manage subcontractors, contracts, and change orders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and partners.
• Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across teams.
