Job summary

Placer County Community Development Resource Agency is seeking a Supervising Code Enforcement Officer to oversee the enforcement of short-term rental ordinances and other code cases in the Tahoe City area. The role includes managing staff, planning and directing work, and handling complex enforcement issues.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of journey level experience performing duties similar to a Code Enforcement Officer II.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; applicants with degrees from outside the United States must submit accreditation.
• Possible possession of a valid driver's license; CERTIFICATE of Arrest, Search, and Seizure may be required within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce short-term rental ordinances for the region.
• Perform full supervisory responsibilities including planning, organizing, directing, assigning and evaluating the work of subordinates.
• Handle the most complex or difficult code enforcement cases.
