Job summary

SAFEbuilt seeks a Code Enforcement Officer to join a team delivering community development services. You will conduct field inspections for rental housing, read plans as needed, and document violations while maintaining records and coordinating with authorities.

Requires licensure (TDLR Code Enforcement Officer II) and a valid driver’s license, with IPMC certification a plus; 1+ year in enforcement or related work is preferred. Company vehicle provided and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• TDLR Code Enforcement Officer II licensure is required.
• ICC IPMC Certification is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in security, enforcement, or compliance-related work.
• Experience in building, construction, or trades highly desired.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections for rental housing program.
• Read and examine plans and specifications when required.
• Report violations and maintain files/records.
• Perform other related duties as required.
