The role requires at least 2+ years in nuisance and code enforcement, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and strong customer service and communication skills. Must be able to travel or live near Humboldt County, NV.

Qualifications

• Experience with nuisance, blight, substandard housing, and unpermitted construction.
• Ability to apply code violation investigations impartially and efficiently.
• Ability to interpret and apply state/local codes for abatement.
• Clear written and oral communication; obtain inspection warrants and court documents.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of codes, ordinances, laws, and regulations for code abatement.
• Maintain records and reports; operate office equipment.
• Use basic office software and databases; keep organized records.
• Interact with the public in a fair, tactful, and timely manner.
