Job summary

You will lead Coating Engineers, contribute to IPTs, design tooling and workflows, and support shop-floor activities with a strong technical focus. The role combines technical leadership with supervisory duties, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Department Manager.

Qualifications

• BS in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• 7 years of full-time aerospace experience, or 5 years in optical coatings.
• Experience with coating design theory and coating technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input on projects or lead the Coating Engineer on IPTs, including tooling/fixture design and coating development.
• Supervise a medium-sized team of Coating Engineers and report to the Manufacturing Engineering Department Manager.
• Develop cost and schedule ROMs and communicate with BD and IPT teams.
