Job summary

WillowWood Global LLC in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Senior CNC Programmer / Machinist to lead machining operations. You will develop programs for 3-, 4-, 5-axis mills, lathes, and Swiss machines, specify tooling, and design fixtures.

This role requires hands-on leadership, program debugging, setup, and continuous improvement, with emphasis on lean manufacturing, quality control, and mentoring machinists across prototype and production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience with mills, lathes, and Swiss machines.
• 5+ years of CAD/CAM programming using SolidCAM/SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in 5-axis machining and G-code programming.
• Leadership or mentoring experience in a machining environment.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, 5-axis mills, CNC lathes, and Swiss/screw machines.
• Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and fixturing to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Design and implement fixtures and tooling for new and existing products.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs/processes as needed.
• Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling documentation, and routings.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction and cost savings.
• Partner with the Machine Shop Manager to support daily operations and production goals.
